OUR STORY: THE LAND

Our vineyard and winery are located on a 63 acre farm located in Aquasco, Maryland that has been owned and operated by our family for at least five generations. We take great pride in our historic farm, and the hard work and dedication of our ancestors that paved the way for our family to fulfill our dream of opening a winery. We started planting grapes in 2012 and have sold our grapes to many local wineries. At Trueman Vineyards and Winery, we know great wine starts with great grapes, and we work diligently to ensure that our grapes are of the highest quality while also preserving the natural beauty of our region.

We are proud that our vineyard has grown to over seven acres,  featuring several grape varieties, including Cabernet Franc, Gruner Veltliner, Merlot, and Traminette, each carefully selected for our climate and soil. Each have their own unique flavor profile and characteristics, which allows us to produce a diverse range of wines to suit all tastes - all from grapes grown right here on our farm. 

Our tasting room will be situated within and around a historic tobacco barn, which is being lovingly restored to maintain the rural character of this region. For now, we offer tastings outdoors in a covered and heated area adjacent to our processing facility.  We continuously strive to enhance the surrounding landscape and create seating areas to create an immersive experience that welcomes and captivates every guest. With a glass of exceptional wine in hand, guests can unwind while taking in the tranquil charm of our family's farm.
